Wishing for steam fish
0 bird(s) chirped

Have you ever been away from home that different in culture, time, daily activities?

I'm so sick of Japanese food, and I'm bored of western food...

Initially I love Jap rice because it doesn't stick together and it doesn't smash up when it's soggy.. However, you will feel very full after eating it...hence, after having Jap rice for few times, I'm finally getting sick of it because I will be feeling very full and don't feel like walking after that...
Same goes to udon noodles...I will experience the same fullness feeling..
I won't be having sushi, tempura, udon mee, jap meal anymore when I'm back in M'sia...I am so sick of it upon seeing it...

Same goes to western food...Initially, I love western food as well...However, here, steak is grilled till dark and the portion is sooooo large that I can't finish it...Besides that, it's laden with oil which made me feel dizzy after having it.... salad with olive oil, bread with mushroom soup...ahhh!!! I feel so full after having it....and worse of all, I feel dizzy due to high level of oil in my body....sickening...

Most probably I miss my home cooked chinese food with less oil and at a smaller portion...I don't feel the fullness at all...Most of all, M'sia food is still the best...steam fish, vegetables, pork, seafood bbq, wan tan mee, fried rice, etc....

counting down
0 bird(s) chirped

Counting down....2 more days to go... :(

Finish work at 6.45pm, rush back to hotel to put my bag, then went downstairs to Queen East...

Eyeing on a blouse and coat....Thinking whether to purchase.... With my previous purchases and amount of space in my luggage, can I still make space for more clothes....IT's autumn season now.... I just managed to look around for 1 hour and the store announces that it's closing time at 8pm... With heavy heart, i just walked after being shooed...

then dinner time before 9pm of closing time of restaurant.. I feel like rushing for time here... Every minutes counts...

Now I'm back in the room and continue finishing up worksheet for tomorrow's meeting.. Oh gosh, I am busier these days than I am working in KL...

Let's pray that meeting ends on Wednesday morning or better still on Tues evening...So that i can do last minute shopping...

Grass is not always greener on the other side
0 bird(s) chirped

do you feel stressed when you leave home just to work in oversea?

aih....i feel stresssed up...... It's not a dream that everyone dreams.... Though I'm staying here long, but I'm not moving around frequently like going on holiday tour... Work Mon-Fri till 6pm...by night, shops will be closed at 8pm and the latest is 9pm... I only had Sat and Sun to explore around...

Sometimes I can't live up with everyone's expectation...

I have wish too....not too complicated wish..... i just leave it to fate.... If I can find it, I will get it... If I can't find it, I will leave it....Like the Chinese saying, "shun kei ji yin"

I saw a pair of boots, I wish to own it, but it's not practical to be worn in hot tropical country like in M'sia....hence, I end up not buying it....

I wish to buy an amulet from a shrine, but I can't buy super expensive amulet from a Jap shrine...why should I buy here? why I don't buy it in my own country? Isn't it nearer to get blessing from GOD from my own country?

How I wish someone understood my stand? How I wish that someone know I have problems too? It wasn't that fun as everyone sees it......

The train station in Tokyo is larger than 10 times of KL sentral and very crowded with people.... KL LRT has only 4 lines (Putra line, ampang line and monorail and KTM commuter) , right? And this takes me 2 days to understand those lines. Do you know how many train lines in TOkyo has? 18 lines and 2 bullet train lines.... that's crazy, man...If I ever lived in Tokyo, I don't think I will understand it in for maybe 3 months... Each train has 10 coaches, with 3 doors per coach and it's 1 and half times wider than LRT....And it travels faster than LRT, which I guess it's about 100km/hr...However, don't think it's not as packed as KL LRT.. It's even worse than LRT during peak hour. It's a norm that the Jap trains are fully packed with people with close proximity with each other. Even the train workers are found pushing train commuters into the train during peak hours... See, grass is not always greener on the other side....

Why should I tolerate everyone wishes? Even Kelly told me before, if I can't find what she wanted for from Japan, she said is ok...I'm lucky to have a nice friend...She didn't pressured me at all....Anyway, I have tried my best to find it...

I have ranted enough...It's quite late now....I got to work tomorrow but M'sians are having Deepavali holiday tomorrow..... However, I am still quite upset about it... I feel that I'm guilty for not finding it...I can't tolerate anymore... I'm not GOD that can fulfills everyone's wishes...

Dinner in Yokohama
0 bird(s) chirped

Kind of lazy to blog from YOkohama....Allright, I just post some photos of it.. Pictures tell a thousand words

Since my boss is an old British man who only have western food in his daily meal, I just dump my boss right after work. I seemed can't understand since I'm Japan, I should try the original Japanese food...Hence, I went out for dinner by myself.

The dinner of today is

Though it's a decent food, it's the best Japanese food that I ever had...Bowl of Japanese rice come with the main dish which is grilled salmon and tiny pink balls are fish eggs... The teapot actually contains miso soup. The miso soup is kept in the teapot just to keep it warm...Queer, right? Miso soup can be pour into the rice or can be drink after finishing rice. This meal costs me 1,200 yen. I'm very satisfied for this meal...

Next, the dessert is

It's an green icecream with jellies and green mochi on it. It comes with a cup of tea as well... I'm not sure what kind of ice cream and tea is that.... Do you know how much this dessert cost?

It's 530 yen...That;s RM19...

Most of the restaurant menus are in Japanese and the waiter or the waitress can't understand English ... I had difficulty to ask what it's the food in the menu... To make less hassle in communication with them, I just point to the picture in the menu that's appeal to me...haha... Sometimes I wish to know what type of meat in picture but I feel that it's abit hard to ask them...

I will blog about Japanese culture later....

Kiwi and Wall-E
1 bird(s) chirped

My hammies...

It's difficult to take photos of my hammies because of 2 things. Either they move too fast or my camera shutter is too slow to capture fast movement.

Meet Walle-E!!!

Meet Kiwi!!

I could only take photos when their back facing me as they were engrossed with their curiosity of their surroundings.

Kiwi has brown fur on his whole body. I named him Kiwi because he really look like kiwi when he was young. Whereas Wall-e has 2 white patches on his shoulder. He was scaredy when I first brought back him. He could hide in the house for the whole day. Hence, I named him Wall-E as he has the same character with the Wall-E from the movie. Kiwi was braver and more curious than Wall-E.

Now they grew twice as big as in just 3 weeks. Both of them become tamer and always want to come out from the cage whenever I open the cage door. They rarely fight nowadays, unlike when they were young, they fight with each other everyday. Wall-E turns out to be the bravest one. He will be the first to come out from the cage and check out the surroundings.

The cutest act from them is they could stand with 2 legs and look at me as if they want to talk to me. hehe...

I'm gonna miss them when I go overseas for 2 weeks...

Trip to a foreign country
1 bird(s) chirped

Who can leave the house without handphone? In this globalisation era, no one can leave the house without handphone. Handphone is a tool to communicate to anyone, anywhere and anytime and it's so convenient to be carried around in your handbag or even in your pocket if it's mini size and weighed as light as feather.

This coming weekend, I will be leaving this country to a foreign land. This foreign land is literary foreign to me, as in language, culture and communication. The language is a major barrier for me, as in I can't read the language characterers and their citizen can't converse or can converse in limited English.

Besides that, I will be disconnected from the my handphone because my mobile network is not accesible there. Argh, I can't call back home if I am in trouble in foreign land. To add to my dismay, I will be staying alone there for 2 weeks...TWO WEEKS, alone and can't communicate with foreign people, can't call home, how am I going to survive?

Most people said that it's one of the best place in the world to step foot into but I feel it's a biggest challenge for me. How am I gonna move around in the metropolitan after work? Which restaurant should I enter? What if the food menu language looks foreign and turns out I ordered sucky food? Which place to go for sightseeing? What if I overspend at super expensive country?

Oh gosh...I am very nervous for this trip and I am constantly reading up and learning this foreign language this few days... I am also doing some research on how to get to popular tourist attraction in that country as I have 2 days off during the trip.

I have so many things to pack : clothes, skin care, cosmetics, laptop, camera (a must no.2), cash, credit cards(a must no.1) , stationery, jackets, internal clothing...etc...
I have so many things to settle : flight, hotel, visa, changing cash, passport, documents to bring to work...
I have so many things to plan : taxi to klia, bus or taxi to hotel, meeting up with a partner there without using handphone.

AHH!!! I wish everyone on the street speaks English... I realised that English is an universal language that connects people from all over the world.

Hope that things will run smoothly for this trip. I hope that I will enjoy this trip also although it has so much hassle of proper planning to be done before the trip.
